You’re Not Alone showcased Haluk Akakçe’s works from 2021, a year marked by profound transformation. Known for his distinctive visual language that merges dimensions and fluid lines, Akakçe explored the intersection of technology and humanity at a moment when the pandemic, social media, and digital communication shaped daily life and intensified isolation. The exhibition title served as an invitation to turn inward, to recognize and nurture the inner world each of us carries.
Reflecting on the show, Akakçe remarked, “There is no such thing as an end—there is change, and you are not alone on this path.” His words echoed throughout the works, emphasizing renewal in nature and the universe, and the idea that meaningful growth often follows hardship.
The exhibition featured both abstract and figurative pieces—compositions of shifting silhouettes, fluid contours, and figures whose heads, eyes, and bodies appeared to transform. Drawing on his architectural background, Akakçe created scenes where forms and colors negotiated space, sometimes receding, sometimes asserting dominance.
Underscoring his commitment to social and environmental responsibility, the artist donated one of the exhibited works to TEMA, Turkey’s leading environmental foundation dedicated to protecting natural habitats and promoting sustainable land use.
