Compagnie Bancaire Helvétique’s Annual Report for 2024 features the work of French-born artist Sandra Matamoros, who builds her work on the delicate balance between elements, reflections and emotions. Her mirrored cubes aren’t simply placed in the landscape, they become an integral part of it. They blend seamlessly into their surroundings while shifting our perception, offering a new perspective with every glance. There is a constant interplay and contrast between structure and change, the visible and the hidden, the obvious and the patiently revealed. By presenting the viewer with multiple reflections, each person is invited to shape their own unique perception More than a structure, the mirrored cube is a symbol. The mirror invites introspection, while the cube embodies balance and stability. It stands out, yet blends in. It adapts, yet remains grounded. That’s how CBH has navigated 2024: by staying open to change without ever losing their footing.
